Diary Nippon

Size: 30 DRAWINGS, 6X9 INC EACH

Medium: Graphite, acrylic, Japanese color (minerals pigment), gold and silver leaf, animal glue on Japanese paper.

During my stay in Japan, I wanted to keep my everyday’s memories in a diary, I prefer to draw and paint then writings. I have learned the Japanese traditional painting techniques in my university; the use of gold leaf and traditional Japanese color inspired me a lot. For the diary series I have tried to combine the traditional method with my concept and want to keep the precious moment in a shiny frame.
