Medium: Digital print, gold leaf, rabbit skin glue.
Currently I am interested on personal history and unknown stories of people and started doing new projects based on old photographs. My father went to India in 1980 with his two friends and it was my birth year. I used to listen many stories related to this trip from my parents and siblings many times. Later in 2007 I traveled the same way he did, with my friends. Recently during working on my autobiography series of work with old photos of my family, I have found 27 small photographs of my father were taken during his first India trip that help me to realize, understand and visualized the stories I have heard from him.
Some part of the photographs are dissolved and damaged already, I did not correct any of the photographs as I was fascinated by the impression that the photographs develop naturally through the time. I used gold leaf with rabbit skin glue to fill the destroyed pixel of the image to make the memories more precious and keep them flourishing.
